Novelist Saisute Kavyanamada Ratna was born in Kolar on August 20, 1942. Her father was Venkatappa and her 

She learned Hindi, English, and Sanskrit with self-discipline. As novels like Karantaru, Bhairappa, A.N.K., T.R.A.S.U. came into the market, her craze for buying and reading grew. In this way, the urge to read and write while reading also developed. Her husband Ashwathnarayan also supported her in publishing these.

Initially, Saisute, like most writers, wrote poems. Later, he turned to the world of novels. Saisute wrote his first novel in 1970. He wrote a novel called ‘Minchu’ and kept it that way for a few years. His ‘Vivaha Bandhan’ was serialized in ‘Prajamat’. Saisute, who made himself ‘Sai’ out of his devotion to Ratna Sai Baba, found writing to be a natural medium of expression. The number of novels he has written so far is close to 140.
